Register for UCPath Job Aid Migration Office Hours
|
UCPath Job Aids are moving to the Services & Support and Employee Center Knowledge Base Articles! Register for the next UCPath Transactions Office Hours tomorrow, September 4, 2025, for an overview on how to find the new KBAs and search for UCPath guidance using TritonGPT.
Additional Office Hours will be held September 8 through September 12, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Check out the UCPath Events Calendar to add to your calendar!

New Benefit Cost Transfer Tool Coming in October
|
The newly redesigned Benefit Cost Transfer (BCT) tool is launching on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Key features of the new BCT Tool:
|

BCTs will use the familiar Salary Cost Transfer (SCT) interface.
- The new tool improves functionality to allow adjustments on a per-transaction basis.
- You can filter transactions by chartfield elements, expense types, and deduction codes.
- The new tool will optimize processing for faster transaction execution.
- Paychecks prior to October 31, 2021, are not eligible for the new BCT tool. You will need to follow local processes (e.g., journal writebacks) to correct these transactions.

Please approve or deny all pending BCT transactions by Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

|
Final Direct Retro Deadlines Approaching
|
The Direct Retro tool will be retired on October 1, 2025. Please be aware of the final Direct Retro deadlines for UC San Diego:
|

Thursday, September 11, 2025: BW/MO High-Risk for posting in September
- Wednesday, September 16, 2025: BW/MO for Non-High-Risk for posting in September
|
Do not submit or approve any Direct Retro transactions between September 17 and September 30. Transactions entered during this period will be deleted by UCPath Center during the deprecation process. Beginning October 2, 2025, users will only be able to view previously processed Direct Retros in UCPath.

Freeze Periods for Academic Range Adjustments
|
The following dates are freeze periods for academic range adjustments:
|
- Professorial Titles: 09/08/25 – 09/12/25
- Postdocs (PX): 09/15/25 – 09/19/25
- Graduate Student Researchers (BR unit): 09/26/25 – 09/30/25
- ASE Titles – TA, Associate In, Tutor, Reader (BX unit): 10/06/25 – 10/10/25

Do not make job updates to impacted employees during these periods. You may process hires, rehires, concurrent hires, terminations, and leaves during the freeze.
|
|
|
Increased Direct Deposit Validation
|
As a reminder, employees will now need to provide their active bank account number to view or update their self-service direct deposit information in UCPath. The system will allow up to three attempts to enter an active account number correctly. After the third unsuccessful attempt, employees will need to try again the next day.
This added layer of security is critical in helping safeguard employee financial information. For additional information, please refer to the Update Direct Deposit Job Aid.
