The NYU Department of Campus Safety recently received two reports from NYU students of Motor Vehicle Thefts involving electric bikes that occured within the span of seven days. These incidents occurred in front of Rodger's Hall bike racks, at 6 MetroTech Center, in Brooklyn.
The first complainant an NYU student, reported that they locked their e-bike in front of Rodger's Hall bike rack on Saturday, September 28th at 10:00 a.m., and when they returned at 9:00 p.m., realized the e-bike was stolen.
The complainant declined to file a police report with the NYPD.
The second complainant an NYU student, reported that they locked their e-bike in front of Rodger's Hall bike rack on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 at 1:50 p.m. and when they returned at 4:30 p.m., realized the e-bike was stolen.
The complainant filed a police report with the NYPD.
