Please Remember These Safety Tips:

• In addition to parking in a gated or designated parking area, consider using a heavy duty lock and/or chain to secure your bicycle or scooter. 
  
  
• Do not leave your bicycle or scooter for extended periods of time, such as overnight.
  
  
• Consider registering your bicycles and other valuable property with Campus Safety's Violet Tag program, which provides community members with the opportunity to place an adhesive sticker on valuable property, so that if it is lost or stolen and recovered, it can be returned to them. To register, please email dcs-community-engagement@nyu.edu. 
  
  
• If you witness behavior that seems odd or out of place, trust your instincts and report it to your nearest Campus Safety Officer.
  
  
• If you are the victim of a crime, call 911 immediately and then report the incident to the Department of Campus Safety at (212) 998-2222.
  
  
• NYU Students can call the Wellness Exchange at 212-443-9999 24/7 for confidential medical and counseling support.
  
  
• NYU Faculty, Administrators, and Staff can call the Employee Assistance Program powered by Optum at 888-980-8740 24/7 for confidential counseling support.
