Iota Mu Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi celebrates 50th initiation ceremony; Farag encourages high school students to pursue cybersecurity careers; Lowery presents at Association for Student Conduct Administration conference; and more

You won’t want to miss the basketball action at home Wednesday night when the top-ranked IUP men’s basketball team hopes to add another win to its 22-0 record. The men’s and women’s teams play back-to-back games against Pitt-Johnstown, with a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” taking place between the games.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Seven students in the IUP Geography, Geology, Environment, and Planning Department have been named Provost Scholars.
Craig Denison presented “Finding Meaning in Boys’ Singing,” at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 6 Professional Development Day. 
IUP’s Iota Mu chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Hispanic Honor Society, celebrated its 50th initiation ceremony last December.
Waleed Farag talked with Homer-Center Junior/Senior High School students about careers in cybersecurity, opportunities available to students, and the Institute for Cybersecurity.
John Wesley Lowery, professor and department chair for Student Affairs in Higher Education, presented a featured session at the Association for Student Conduct Administration annual conference.
