New Parent Newsletter - April 18

Welcome! The next few months will be a flurry of excitement, information, and activity as we prepare for your child’s arrival on campus in August. To help keep you on track, we are pleased to share the first issue of the New Parent Newsletter, which is a digest of important and timely items from the New Parent Page at marist.com/newparent and around our community.

You will receive the New Parent Newsletter every other week through May 30. After that date, you will receive the June, July, and August editions of the Weekly Way Newsletter, which is sent to all current parents.

Acceptance Packet Update
We are thrilled acceptance packets have begun to arrive, but we know many are still in transit with the United States Postal Service. In the meantime, you are welcome to pick up a copy of your child’s signed acceptance letter and “Marist Bound” selfie sign from the Admissions Office between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. through next Wednesday, April 24. Current Marist students may take these items home for their siblings.
Marist Bound Photos
We want to celebrate our new students on the Marist Admissions Instagram. Please email a photo of your child holding the “Marist Bound” selfie sign to admissions@marist.com. No names will be shared. Thank you!

From the Marist Clinic: Required Health Forms
Health forms for the 2024-2025 school year are due by June 1! If your family is new to Marist, you will receive an email late April/early May from Magnus Health Student Medical Record System titled “Marist School Clinic - Welcome to your Magnus Health Account”. You can then log in to Magnus Health to access your child’s account and complete the required Georgia High School Association (GHSA) health forms and health-related tasks. If you have a Magnus account for a current Marist student, your newly enrolled child will be added to your profile.

Importantly, if your child plans to participate in upcoming fall sports tryouts and performing arts auditions (see below), they must have three GHSA forms on file before the first day of tryouts, including the pre-participation physical evaluation form.

With a focus on critical thinking skills and efficient study practices, students will gain the tools they need to excel in their new academic environment. Two cohorts are available in August.
