Dear Parents and Guardians,
As spring break approaches, please keep in mind that The Vanguard School has chosen to keep travel restrictions in place at least through spring break. If your child travels outside of Pennsylvania, you must either:
- Produce evidence of a negative COVID-19 test for your child taken within 72 hours prior to returning to PA – or
- Quarantine your child for 10 days after entering Pennsylvania
* Children over age 11 may test out of quarantine if he or she can produce a negative test result taken while quarantining.
Please continue to monitor your child’s health on a daily basis prior to his or her school arrival. If you know that you will be traveling, please contact your program supervisor so that we can plan for your child’s education should he or she need to quarantine.
More details about our travel restrictions, decision tree, and COVID-19 screening guidance (symptom checker) can be found in the COVID-19 Family and Staff Handbook on our website at vfes.net/covid19.
Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to keeping our students, staff, and families safe. We hope you have an enjoyable, restful spring break.
