PHDigest
A monthly e-newsletter for doctoral students in the social sciences
|
Hello
Welcome to the April 2021 issue of PHDigest, a monthly e-newsletter focused on doctoral students in the social sciences. Each month we'll give you the scoop on events, news, career advice, workshops, and more.
This month, we are spotlighting Jared Clemons who is completing a PhD in Political Science and also has ties to African & African American Studies and the Kenan Institute for Ethics. He'll also be joining a new Bass Connections team: Race and New Southern Politics, a project that will replicate and extend Matthews and Prothro to study the “New South” and will investigate the effects of Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests today.
Be sure to check out the short video with Professor Yi (Daniel) Xu, where he covers tips on how to make the most of your time at Duke and be successful.
Stay healthy. Stay safe.
