Enjoying this month's mild introduction to Autumn? If your zest to bike was dampened by recent rain showers you can probably relate to this mom's story.
But read on - we have some events to encourage you to keep riding your bike through the seasons.
Saturday, October 21; start times vary by location, 10am is earliest
Three meeting locations in SE (SE Clinton/41st, Clinton/26, Tilikum Plaza), see ride link for details
Two great examples of Portland's bike culture beyond Pedalpalooza. Take a long(ish) ride to Sauvies Island to celebrate Halloween, or join the weekly Farmers Market ride for a harvest brought closer to home.
Boise Eliot School at the covered basketball courts near N. Kerby and N. Ivy
Dress up in your most visible attire, light up your bike, and join us for a fun evening ride! We'll start with a mini fashion show/photo shoot to highlight participants' visible outfits from 5-5:30 p.m. Then, at 5:30 p.m., we'll take off on an ~8 mile, moderate pace bike ride through Northeast Portland. Free and open to everyone.
Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop to learn about winter cycling. We'll go over basic bike maintenance and we'll also cover safety tips and gear recommendation for riding throughout the winter. Come ready to learn and share skills! You're encouraged to bring your bike but it's not required. Free and open to everyone.
