Come Be A Part of Seussical Jr., Our Middle School Musical. Registration Now Open for Grades 5-8!

Join us for a musical adventure as St. Michael's Middle School presents Seussical Jr.!
MIDDLE SCHOOL: ALL registered 6-8th grade students will be members of the show's cast and crew.  Middle School students will audition for cast roles once we begin rehearsals in January.
FIFTH GRADE: As an exciting addition, 5th grade students are invited to be part of the fun and join the cast as troupe singers. Due to stage space limitations, 5th grade registration is capped at the first 15 students.
Registration will close on Friday, DECEMBER 10.  Separate registration links for Middle School and Fifth Grade students are below.
Given past overwhelming community support and sold-out shows, the musical will run APRIL 28-30 with four afternoon and evening performances. The musical will be directed by St M music teacher, Dawn Childs.
UPDATE: Rehearsals will be on Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 3-4:30 p.m. beginning in January.* (NOTE: these rehearsal days are a change from what was previously announced.)  In March, Monday rehearsals will be added.  A complete calendar will be sent in January once rehearsals have begun.

For more information, please contact Dawn Childs at dchilds@stmschool.netOn with the show!
* Dates and times may be subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseeable conflicts.

About the musical:

Seussical JR. weaves a story of friendship, loyalty, and love. Despite all odds, Horton and Gertrude band together to save the Whos, free Horton, and restore peace and unity to the Jungle of Nool. "Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.  Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!"
