 Leaping Into March!
This February, our winter Body Back mamas wrapped up their 8-week session gaining major muscle and endurance all while losing a combined 69.5 inches and 71.5 pounds! WOW! We're "off and running" with spring race training. Twelve couples made healthy living a priority in our Couples Contest (winner TBD!). We came together for Mom's Night Out with a beautiful candlelight yoga practice at The Parlour Chapel. If you missed it, you can join the fun in our 6-week candlelight yoga series starting March 30th. 
How often do you think, "If only I had a few more hours in the day"? What would you do with your extra time? How would you find time for YOU? We may not get extra hours each day, but we can prioritize and find a few extra minutes. This year, we get an extra 24 hours on February 29th. I encourage you to take a few moments today to think of one thing missing from your daily routine you'd like to include. Perhaps it's 5 minutes of silence to yourself or a walk outdoors. Whatever is missing in your day, take this extra day of the year and write down how you can find a few minutes for YOU each day. 
March marks one year since our Grand Opening class. We're excited to celebrate this past year, but most importantly, all of you who make our FIT4MOM Chapel Hill community what it's become. Celebration details are below!

Candlelight Yoga Series at The Parlour Chapel
Starting this spring, we proudly offer candlelight yoga courses and classes at the beautifully restored Parlour Chapel.
Seasonally, we will host a six week candlelight yoga series will be held each season with varying weekly classes. Course is limited to 30 participants. Drop-in particpants are permitted, only if space is available.
Spring Series: Wednesdays March 30th - May 4th, 8:00 - 9:15 pm

Week 1: Fundamentals of Vinyasa
Week 2: Core Strength
Week 3: Power Flow
Week 4: Yoga for Runners
Week 5: Hip Openers
Week 6: Restorative Aromatherapy Yoga, A Mother's Day Celebration

FIT4MOM of the Month: Meet Jessica Walden-Gray
Jess attended our Grand Opening Stroller Strides class last March while 8 months pregnant with her daughter, Isabelle. When the doctor gave her the green light to resume activity, Jess returned to Stroller Strides as a Monthly Member. In September, she helped us start our ongoing Run Club as a volunteer Run Leader. This spring, Jess will join our instructor team as a FIT4MOM certified Run Coach. Look for Jess' running programs starting in May! 
1) Hometown: Ontario, NY. Just east of Rochester and on the Lake Ontario shore. 
2) Kids: Isabelle, 9 months
3) Hobbies: Running, hiking, finding and photographing birds and insects with my husband Ben, singing, my dog Lemon Joy
4) Why I Love FIT4MOM Chapel Hill: I love the community of mothers (and fathers!) that make Fit4Mom Chapel Hill possible. I started coming to classes as soon as I could after Isabelle was born. The community saved me from the physical and emotional isolation of being a new mom in a new town. Added bonus, now I've got guns!
Starting March 1st, Stroller Strides & Stroller Barre classes are back OUTDOORS! Saturday class returns to Southern Village at 10:00 am!
If temps are below 45 degrees, class will be moved indoors to Christ Church. Sign up via your client account to receive an automatic email notification.
