Volunteer for MCAT Prep Support Content Development
MATCH (Mentors Advancing Tomorrow’s Clinicians and Healers)
Are you passionate about education, equity, or video editing?
MATCH (Mentors Advancing Tomorrow’s Clinicians and Healers) at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking volunteers to help create MCAT prep videos for pre-med students.
About MATCH
MATCH is a student-led program pairing undergraduate students who are underrepresented in medicine with current GW medical students to provide one-on-one pre-med mentorship and guidance on the medical school application process.
We are building an MCAT video series that we are aiming to complete by mid-late summer and need student volunteers to help create content. Here is an example lecture from one of our tutors.
The Role
Create one to two video lectures per month based on an MCAT Kaplan chapter; video length varies with chapter content (45 minutes-2 hours per video). We will provide access to Kaplan books.
Subjects we are seeking tutors for include: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, CARS, and Psychology and Sociology
You do not need to be pre-med or have taken the MCAT. Students just need to feel comfortable teaching the subject(s) of their choice.
This role is flexible and dependent on your availability. You are always welcome to create more videos!
You have creative control and can make videos in the format that best suits your teaching style.
Video editing experience is nice but not necessary!
If you are interested, apply here and we will contact you with more information.
