Culinary, Hospitality Grad to Compete on Food Network

The university brings together national cybersecurity experts for this fifth annual event, offered virtually this year. Thursday’s free, daylong seminar—open to students, faculty and staff members, and interested community members—will cover trends in cybersecurity and what can be done to secure and defend critical information.
The Student Activity Committee closes its week of Halloween activities with a free virtual dance party featuring IUP’s own DJ QRX. The fun runs from 8:00 to 11:00 tonight via Twitch.
Join Health and Wellness Promotion peer educator Sierra DeMarsh today, Fresh Food Friday, at 5:00 p.m. on Instagram, @iupaware or @iupranger1, as she demonstrates how to make this simple yet healthy dish. 
Voice faculty member Raquel Winnica Young will perform with Alabaster Trio on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at historic Mishler Theatre in Altoona. The concert is available via live stream through the Altoona Symphony Musician Spotlight Concert Series.

On October 20, the Student Accounting Association hosted a Zoom meeting with guest speakers Alicia Fulmer ’15 and Sarah Zbur ’16, both senior audit associates from KPMG’s Pittsburgh office. 
The university was PTC’s sole higher education finalist for both the “Top COVID Pivot” award and the Tech 50 award in the Nonprofit/Education/Community category.

The IUP Health Service will offer testing for sexually transmitted infections Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Call 724-357-2550 for an appointment.
On Tuesday, November 17, at 4:00 p.m., members will get together via Zoom for a “meet and greet” and to suggest topics for future meetings.
