I am working on having better emotional wellness. I often find myself stressed and overwhelmed or partaking in negative self-talk.

What is a healthy habit that helps nurture wellbeing in this area of life?

Something I am actively doing to work on is making lists, practicing mindfulness, and saying daily affirmations to myself.

I'm finishing my second year as a Wellness Coach!

Why did you join the wellness coaching program?
|
I joined the wellness coaching program at the U because I wanted to learn how to better provide personalized, effective, and holistic strategies to support the well-being of individuals and people in group settings.
The opportunities I have had from this coaching program have helped me gain new methods, perspectives, and skills to see sustainable and positive behavior changes in the lives of my clients.

Which of the Nine Dimensions of Wellness are you trying to work on at the moment?
|
Currently, I am concentrating my intentions on developing my physical wellness to improve my fitness through balanced/adequate nutrition, consistent mindful physical activity, and quality sleep.

What is a healthy habit that helps nurture wellbeing in this area of life?
|
One healthy habit I’ve created since August is using active transport! On most days of the week, I ride my bike onto campus from Millcreek to improve my cardiorespiratory endurance, ease the emotional stress of finding parking on campus, and reduce emissions into the environment. 🚴🏻♂️
