Threads of Loving Closing Reception Students, faculty, and staff joined IESL at the closing reception of our 2nd Annual Silver Student Art Exhibition! Participants enjoyed sweet treats, creative play, and stories of inspiration directly from the artists who brought this show to life.

Asian/Asian American Identity in Social Work Panel Silver’s Asian Graduate Student Support Group hosted a panel of Asian and Asian-American Silver alums and faculty. Participants enjoyed a spread of foods from a variety of Asian cuisines, engaged in discussion, and networked with peers.

Vision Board Party at Westchester and Rockland Campuses Students at the Westchester campus created their own inspiring vision boards alongside members of the IESL, CPD, and Westchester team. Additionally, some students had their resumes reviewed during the event!

NYU Silver Graduation Ceremony

The Silver Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the United Palace Theatre (4140 Broadway, New York, NY 10033). All graduating students who plan to attend should RSVP via Marching Order by Wednesday, April 3. You will also be able to use this form to express any personal or guest accommodation needs.
Graduation Attire: Order by Friday, April 5!
As a reminder, all graduating students who attend the All-University and/or Silver Graduation are required to wear academic attire (gown and cap). The last day to order these items will be Friday, April 5.

Adoptee Voices in Practice: A Conversation about Adoptees in Social Work

The Transracial Adoptee Social Work Collective (TRASWC) will be engaging in a conversation with NYU Silver’s very own Dr. Dina Rosenfeld and Dr. Aminda Heckman. They will be discussing their experiences working with the adoption community, personal adoptee experiences, how adoptee social workers’ own experiences inform their work in the field, and what it means to be an adoptee clinician. This event is open to all (adoptees and non-adoptees) who are interested in learning more about the adoptee/foster care populations, or are just curious in learning more about the adoptee experience! Advance registration is highly encouraged!
Siembra Today: Planting the Seeds of Tomorrow
