Clemson University and the City of Clemson Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual “State of the University/State of the City” event Monday afternoon to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments alongside the enduring partnership between the University and the city. University president Jim Clements and Clemson Mayor Robert Halfacre shared the stage to deliver addresses at the event.

The events are open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.

The Department of Risk Services announced changes to the First Report of Injury (Accident Report) for any faculty, staff or student employee who is injured, experiences a hazardous exposure or becomes ill from their workplace or work activities. The new procedure is entirely electronic, using SciShield software to gather the required information about the injury. All faculty, staff and student employees are required to complete the policy acknowledgments for equitable treatment and drugs and alcohol. These acknowledgments must be completed by March 2, which can be accessed via Tiger Training.

The Center for Career & Professional Development is excited to announce the S.C. Experiential Learning Grant: Intern&Earn, a state-funded pilot program for undergraduate students engaging in off-campus internships in Summer 2024. Students enrolled in an eligible Summer 2024 INT course and accepted into the program can qualify to receive supplementary funding for their internship experience.
