Alton C. Standifer, Ph.D., will join Clemson University as vice president and chief of staff, bringing broad experience in executive leadership, institutional strategy and partnership development across public higher education. He will begin his role on August 31.
- Forbes named Clemson University the No. 13 best employer in South Carolina and the top education employer in the state.

The Clemson University Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Bert Wilkins as its executive secretary. Wilkins currently serves as senior associate general counsel for the University. He assumes the position following the appointment of April Purvis as chief executive officer of the Clemson University Foundation.
Justin Gibson ’24 and Antonia Blank were elected president and vice president, respectively, of Graduate Student Government (GSG) for 2026-27 following the organization’s electoral process this spring.

The GIS Fundamentals Workshop Series, offered by the Clemson Center for Geospatial Technologies, is open for registration. Designed for all skill levels, the workshops help acquire valuable GIS skills. The workshops are free and open to all students, faculty and staff.
