2018 September Email News Letter
2018 Labor Day Family Camp was a HUGE success with 290 in attendnace and the opprtunity to have worship in the chapel. So many people to thank for this incredible weekend. The first of course goes to Kurt Flora, our Event Coordinator, who planned this great weekend by inviting Tom Bostic to be our speaker and John Howard to lead worship for the weekend. He also invited Beca Adams to lead our Children's sessions and Tyler Smith to lead our Teen sessions. Good Job TEAM! We also want to thank Dave DaNeal for bringing the train! Family Camp would not be the same without the train! We want to thank our Kempton, Sterling & Fairfield Churches for doing the mouse ears led by Jane Sims!! Then, we need to thank our staff here at Hanging Rock! They were up early and stayed up late to create a lot of fun memories with our activities and food service. We collected $3,500 in offerings and added 8 new partnerships for LOAF Missions! It was great having Kayte & Nathan as our summer missionaries back for family camp! Looking forward to Family Camp 2019!

We are finally catching our breath here at camp. We had a great family camp, and now we prepare for our fall programs. I personally want to invite you to many of our programs we have coming up at Hanging Rock. In the next few weeks & months you will have an opportunity to enjoy this ministry by disconnecting from everything the world is throwing at you and reconnecting to friends and our Lord & Savior. In this email newsletter you will see just a few of the things that we have planned for you. Please take time to read and make plans to attend some great events here at Hanging Rock. 

Ladies Night Out - This Thursday- "Move on & Want More" Message from Tiffany Koehler

Music Led by Kim Snowden, New Market Christian Church & Amy Sheppard, Second Church of Christ. 
Check in will be at 6:00 p.m. EST with meal beginning at 6:30 in the dining room. We will have the program in the chapel. 
An offering will be collected to support the work of the Ladies Auxilairy projects for Hanging Rock. 

Horse Camp Fundraiser - September 8, 2018 

This is an opportunity to support the Horse Camp ministry of Hanging Rock. We have a great volunteer team who are planning an awesome day for you to enjoy the Horse Camp area. We really need more people to come and support this ministry so it can continue to improve and grow. Please join us this Saturday on the Horse Camp side to enjoy some great fellowship. Minister's Brunch - September 11, 2018

We have planned a great breakfast for our Supporting Church Ministers. We will also have some giveways for you and a complementary gift when you come. This is an opportunity for us to say thank you for serving our supporting churches and serving our Lord & Savior. We will end the day with some encouraging words from Bob Phillips who has over 60 years in ministry background. I'm so excited to have him here at Hanging Rock and I know you will be encouraged if you come. Please register for this to let us know you are coming so we can plan accordingly for your breakfast. We will be having dinner for our Vermillion County IL Churches at 6:30 P.M. CT and then moving to the chapel for a camp update and a devotion led by Jason Schimke, Preacher at Alvin Christian Church.
