Huntsville Music Month: Ready for Launch |
The start of the second annual #hsvmusicmonth is only a day away! We’re kicking out the jams with three nights of free shows in Big Spring Park East. This is an event you won’t want to miss! The music begins at 5 p.m. each night. Food trucks will have concessions for purchase and alcoholic beverages are permitted if they are in designated purple cups.

Spearheaded by the efforts of Huntsville's Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Jazz in the Park-Huntsville provides music-lovers across generations a free ticket to experience some of modern jazz’s biggest names live on stage! Think we had a lot going on for last year’s #hsvmusicmonth? Well, feast your eyes on this year’s lineup! In addition to the kickoff Launchpad concert series, we’ve got several more FREE community events designed to entertain, inform and grow our diverse music ecosystem. The calendar of events is being updated almost daily, so be sure to bookmark it and check back often!

Artist Mixer + Quarterly Music Meetup |
The Huntsville Music Office and Arts Huntsville will host a Huntsville Music Month Artist Mixer + Quarter Music Meetup from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center, 3320 Triana Blvd. SW, Huntsville. Guests will be treated to a screening of “The 72 Experience,” directed by Codie Gopher. Attendees will have a chance to meet Gopher as well as featured guests Rick and Angela Bradshaw and Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella. The event will be emceed by Dray LaBorde.
This is a free event, but an RSVP is required.

Learn The Business From Experts |
To celebrate Huntsville Music Month, the Music Business Association’s new Music Biz Roadshow will bring elements of the popular annual conference to cities where music and entrepreneurship are thriving to connect its members with local musicians and music businesses. High-level panels and fireside chats will educate communities on today’s music ecosystem, while cocktail mixers will facilitate new relationships between members of the industry who may not have met otherwise.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and panels begin at 5:30. A mixer will kick off at 7:30. The event is limited to the first 200 people who RSVP.

On Saturday, Sept. 16, the Huntsville Music Office and Arts Huntsville will again team up to produce a music industry-related career and community expo at the Von Braun Center to help connect people to local job openings and volunteer opportunities.

Blast Music – the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library’s music streaming service – is accepting submissions from Tennessee Valley artists through Sept. 30 in conjunction with Huntsville Music Month! Those selected will have the option to sign Blast’s license agreement, upload a full album/EP to the streaming platform and receive an honorarium check.

The Huntsville Music Office is proud to work with Huntsville City Schools, the Cigar Box Store, Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation, Maitland Arts Initiative and Madison County Commissioner Phil Riddick to put instruments into the hands of more students through a monthlong citywide instrument drive.
