So Much Info Inside..Don't Miss It!

Dear Friends,

We are super excited to share that 10 people are currently going through Young Life leader training! These trainings include gathering for Bible study, checking out local clubs, learning all about Young Life, and practicing sharing their faith. This past Sunday, we went to the Word to discover what maturity in Christ looks like and the importance of prayer. Please pray for each of them to grow in their understanding of who God is, that their faith would deepen, and for wisdom as they prayerfully consider becoming a Young Life leader.

Over the next several months, we will be highlighting our Young Life Committee. Our committee is a group of local adults who care about kids and are committed to Young Life’s mission of introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Committee members support the local ministry by praying, fundraising, securing administrative resources, and encouraging staff.

First up is Dan McConnell, our Young Life NOLA Committee Chair! From being invited to Young Life by a football teammate as a high school junior (and yes, partly because "that's where the girls were!") to now serving as Committee Chair, Dan's Young Life story is full of joy, purpose, and a deep love for students.

One of Dan's favorite Young Life moments came at WyldLife camp when a young man asked, "Is it too late to accept the gift of Jesus that we talked about earlier?" Dan had the joy of praying with him as he accepted Jesus' gift of salvation. There is truly no greater joy!!

This year, Dan is excited to step into Young Life College leadership for the first time and is praying for new people to join the committee. We're so grateful for Dan's leadership, faith, and heart for the students and families of New Orleans.
