Bring the whole family out to the Sixth Annual Hoover Park Festival on Sunday, August 2 from 1-5 pm at 1875 E. Maple St., North Canton. This highly anticipated event celebrates all things Hoover history and community heritage. Highlights include a special viewing of the America 250 Stark County Historical “Pastport” episode on the Hoover Historical Center! Guests can also enjoy tours of the Hoover Historical Center with a scavenger hunt for a prize and an opportunity for guests to pick up a Stark County Local History “Pastport.” Additional activities include garden tours, a “vintage” baseball game, food trucks, train rides, history presentations, a Canton Concert Band performance, storytelling by North Canton Public Library, interactive popups from local historical organizations, and so much more!

Get your Tickets for Walsh University Night at the Guardians August 28 |
Let’s pack the stands! Tickets are now available for Walsh University Night with the Cleveland Guardians on Friday, August 28 with President Collins throwing the first pitch! Join fellow faculty, staff, and coaches as the Guardians take on the Kansas City Royals with a 7:10 p.m. first pitch. For $61, your ticket package includes your game seat, the finest ballpark food and non-alcoholic beverages, an exclusive hat, and access to the Pennant District patio to enjoy the game with the Walsh University community. Come out for a summer evening of baseball and Cavalier camaraderie.

Walsh University proudly congratulates Board Member Honorable Robert F. Behler on his recent appointment to the Department of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board. Mr. Behler is among 14 distinguished leaders selected for this prestigious role, bringing together expertise from academia and the private sector to advise senior Air Force and Space Force leadership. The board provides critical, data-driven guidance on complex scientific and technological challenges, helping shape the future of air and space capabilities and ensuring continued innovation and readiness.
