A report was made to the Department of Campus Safety following the most recent incident, which occurred today, February 12, 2025. The individual followed the student along Washington Square West toward Lipton Hall, stopping at the front of Lipton when the student entered at 10:33 a.m. The student reported the individual attempted to engage in conversation with them.
The student indicated that they first observed the individual following them in the same general area a week prior, and there had been multiple incidents between then and today. The individual attempted to verbally engage with the student in addition to following them south on Washington Square West. The student did not engage with the individual.
No physical injuries were reported. The student was offered support services and assistance in reporting to the NYPD.
Description of Suspect: The suspect was described by the complainant as masculine presenting, in their 30's, and is approximately 6'0". The suspect was described as having a dark complexion and has been wearing a black winter coat sweatshirt, a black face mask, and black pants each time they were observed by the complainant.
