Xavier Baldwin (’13, BS, Biology/Chemistry) Recipient: 2019 UAH Outstanding Young Alumni of Achievement

Xavier Baldwin Recipient: 2019 UAH Outstanding Young Alumni of Achievement »

Learning more about the science behind diseases led Xavier Baldwin to a career in medicine. He is completing a general surgery residency at The University of North Carolina Hospital System.
Baldwin graduated cum laude from The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry, and a minor in mathematics. He learned about UAH from his high school basketball coach who knew Baldwin was interested in playing college hoops without sacrificing a good educational experience.

Valentin "Val" Korman vividly remembers spending time with his UAH family. "By far, the best parts of my time at the university and beyond involved working directly with faculty and students. Looking back, the learning I received from the coursework and the research experience with the faculty was excellent."

Denise Rowe Recipient: 2019 UAH Alumni of Achievement Award »

UAH alumna Denise S. Rowe began her career in the health care field as a radiologic technologist in the Air National Guard at joint base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Air Force Base in Burlington County, N.J. 
Rowe was an honor graduate of the United States Air Force, Air Training Command.

Carey Link embraces her fighting spirit and charges on. The petite UAH alumna is blessed with a fierce determination to battle through any challenges put before her: including cerebral palsy and metastatic breast cancer.

Tim Thornton Recipient: 2019 UAH Alumni of Achievement Award »

Tim Thornton's decision to start nLogic 10 years ago was quick but indecisive. Career-wise, Thornton had two choices: stay with his employer in a key leadership role; or start a new company because of conflict of interest rules and regulations changes in the government.
