Dear Alumni and Friends of Archbishop Carroll,
As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, we pause to reflect on the many blessings that grace our lives. In this spirit of gratitude, let’s all give thanks, not only for the gifts we receive, but for the opportunity to walk together in faith and learning. We are reminded of the words of St. Paul: “In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” In this, St. Paul calls us to cultivate a heart of gratitude, even in times of challenge, and to recognize God’s presence in every moment. In 2015, I was principal of an all boys grade school, and the priest spoke to the boys and asked them to take a minute and tell God one thing you are thankful for on that day. He told the boys, giving thanks is just that simple. So today I am giving thanks to God. I am grateful for my family, my faith, and the vibrant Carroll community!
We have much to celebrate at Carroll and I want to give thanks to you, our alumni and friends, for all you do for our students and school. Your support through the EITC program, scholarships, our endowment, and annual fund are critical to the success and sustainability of Archbishop Carroll. If you have not had a chance to give, please do so. Our future Patriots need you!
Grateful,
Patricia G. Scott, Ed.D., President

Connelly Wellness Center
Last month during our school Mass, we proudly recognized students who have earned a named scholarship, along with the generous donors who make these awards possible.
These scholarships are funded by alumni, families, and friends of Carroll who believe deeply in our mission to provide students with a strong academic foundation rooted in faith, service, and community. Their generosity continues to have a lasting impact on our students and school.
Following Mass, everyone gathered in the Connelly Wellness Center for light refreshments. Students had the opportunity to meet and spend time with the donors of their scholarships, a meaningful connection that highlights the heart of the Carroll community.
This event was also a wonderful example of how the Connelly Wellness Center continues to benefit our entire school, serving as a welcoming space that brings people together in faith and fellowship.

Teacher who has made a difference!
by Christopher D. '26
"Mr. Cummings has been my Project Lead the Way (STEM) teacher for all four years at Carroll, and his influence has shaped who I hope to become. From the very first class, he created an environment that encouraged curiosity and creativity. He challenges his students to approach every problem with logic and imagination, reminding us that failure is simply an opportunity to learn.
His passion for engineering and dedication to his students have motivated me to pursue a career in the STEM field. In fact, he is the reason I plan to major in civil engineering in college, a field that reflects the problem-solving and real-world impact he inspires every day.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Cummings has also been an inspiration in my faith. Getting to know him on a deeper level through Kairos showed me how genuine and compassionate he is. He leads by example, both as a teacher and as a person of faith, and his influence has left a lasting impact on my education, character, and future".
