Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to welcome hundreds of new students and families to Iona’s New Rochelle campus over the next few weeks for our New Student Orientation programs beginning on Tuesday, June 9. Orientation is designed to help answer questions, provide students and families with information about campus resources, programs and services, and provide a chance to meet fellow Gaels and connect with the Iona community.  

We wanted to be sure that all members of our community have information to help greet and direct new families should they find their way to your offices or you meet them around campus. Orientation Leaders (OLs) are on campus this week undergoing final preparations and will also be available to help direct event attendees.

Orientation consists of three parts:
• Part 1: June Orientation
• Part 2: Vector Modules
• Part 3: August Welcome Weekend

Parking for Students and Families
All event attendees are directed to park in the garage. Parents & Families event check-in is in the Hynes Arena. Student event check-in is in the Mulcahy Gym.

Virtual New Student Orientation
Students and families unable to attend one of the four in-person Orientation sessions in June due to travel distance or schedules are able to register for the Virtual New Student Orientation asynchronous module. They will receive an email later in June with additional details. They can contact their admissions counselor or orientation@iona.edu for more information and the June Virtual Registration link.

PLEASE NOTE: There is No Orientation 5
We are releasing the campus hold for Orientation 5. There will not be a New Student Orientation session on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. 

In addition to the June Orientation, all new incoming students are required to complete Vector modules over the summer. Students will receive their online summer assignments as part of the June orientations. The First Year summer modules are to be completed prior to Thursday, August 20, 2026 at noon.

There will also be a Welcome Weekend in August with first‑year move‑in on Friday, August 21, followed by a two‑day required onboarding program on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23.
