Support Seeds for Seniors on GAGives Day

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, join us as we participate in GAgives, Georgia's biggest day of generosity held on Giving Tuesday, which is a nationwide day of giving and celebrating the spirit of generosity.

Your donations to A.G. Rhodes on GAgives Day will support Horticultural Therapy and our Seeds for Seniors program which nurtures growth and brings healing and happiness to our nursing home residents.

FROM 11ALIVE ONLINE: Two residents at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta earned new titles thanks to an annual event held by The Atlanta Peachtree Chapter of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD). TLOD, a nonprofit with a mission to enhance and enrich the lives of youths and adults, hosted "The Golden Years" Senior Prom for the home's residents.

New Partnership Guides Creative Approach to Elder Care

A.G. Rhodes recently partnered with TimeSlips, a national organization dedicated to improving communication and connection with elders through creative engagement. A.G. Rhodes Atlanta hosted their first train-the-trainer session and together staff, family members, and volunteers to learn innovative and evidence-based storytelling and communication techniques designed to enrich the lives of residents, including those living with dementia. Participants then put their new skills into practice, engaging residents in the creative storytelling techniques they learned.

In this season of gratitude, we reflect on all that we're thankful for at A.G. Rhodes, including our residents and their families, our care partners, our volunteers, our supporters, and friends like you who help us fulfill our mission.

We have posted gratitude areas or walls in various places around our homes. We invite you to write your own notes of gratitude and leave them on our wall. Notes can be about personal gratitude, appreciation for a care partner, or general words of cheer. Let's fill the walls with positive thoughts this holiday season!
