Celebrating Positive Aging
Each year, we look forward to the Profiles of Positive Aging event, an opportunity to celebrate elders from across Georgia and the rich experiences, accomplishments and contributions that have shaped their lives and communities.
Hosted by LeadingAge Georgia, a network of nonprofit aging services providers that includes A.G. Rhodes, the annual event honors older adults from throughout the state. An elder from each of our three communities was among those recognized at this year's event held at the Atlanta History Center.
We were proud to celebrate these remarkable women and all they bring to A.G. Rhodes and the broader community!

Congratulations to Mae Cook (A.G. Rhodes DeKalb), Sarah Lee Shelton (A.G. Rhodes Atlanta), and Sandra Farris (A.G. Rhodes Cobb).

Residents Make an IMPACT at The Fabulous Fox
For the second year, volunteers from the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta (CVC) teamed up with A.G. Rhodes elders for a special Activities & Horticultural Therapy session at our Atlanta community. Together, they created beautiful centerpieces that were featured at CVC’s annual IMPACT Awards event held at the Fox Theater.
The CVC brings together Atlanta-area businesses committed to employee volunteerism and community engagement, and its members have been valued volunteer partners of A.G. Rhodes for many years. Through this partnership, volunteers give their time and talents while building meaningful connections with the elders we serve.
We were glad to have continued this tradition to add a special A.G. Rhodes touch to this year’s event!

Celebrating Excellence in Our Workplace
A.G. Rhodes recently earned Silver Level Certification through the Cobb Chamber and SelectCobb 2026 Employer Excellence Certification program, which recognizes businesses that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to employee well-being, engagement and long-term retention.
We're proud of this distinction, but even prouder of the people behind it. Our employees are at the heart of this recognition and the culture we’ve built at A.G. Rhodes. Their dedication to our mission and to the elders we serve shape our workplace and the exceptional care we provide every day.
We’re also honored to be recognized alongside other employers in our community who share a commitment to creating positive workplaces where employees can thrive.

Employee Spotlight: Hilda Mota Zoto, A.G. Rhodes Cobb
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month Sept. 15-Oct. 15, we’re shining our Employee Spotlight on Hilda Mota Zoto, a longtime member of our A.G. Rhodes Cobb team!
For more than a decade, Hilda has built meaningful relationships with our elders while also finding special ways to share her Mexican heritage with our community. Last year, she even brought family and friends to A.G. Rhodes to perform traditional Mexican dances.

For Hilda, it all comes back to connection. As she says, “You get connections with elders. It’s amazing. You love them like they’re your family.”

Growing Our Team of Eden Associates
Several A.G. Rhodes Care Partners recently completed training through The Eden Alternative, a longtime partner in our commitment to person-directed care.
The training gives our care partners practical tools and strategies to better understand each elder as an individual and support greater choice, purpose and well-being. By expanding the number of Eden Associates across A.G. Rhodes, we’re continuing to strengthen a culture of care centered on the people we serve.

A September Shout-Out to Two Great Teams!
Throughout the year, A.G. Rhodes recognizes the many teams whose work contributes to the care and well-being of our elders. In September, we celebrated two of those important groups during Environmental Services Week and National Rehabilitation Awareness Week.
Our Environmental Services Care Partners help keep our communities clean, safe and welcoming every day, while our therapy and rehab professionals help elders build strength, maintain independence and continue doing the things that are important to them.
We’re grateful for all they do for our elders and our communities!

Welcome to our newest A.G. Rhodes Care Partners! See our latest staff updates HERE.
We know how wonderful the A.G. Rhodes community is. We want everyone to know! Kind words mean a great deal to our Care Partners. If you have some kind words you'd like to send a staff member, you can send them a Care Partner Praise HERE!
"Wanted to thank you for everything, for working with us. My mom has a lot of things she can’t eat and while we was there y'all worked with us and we truly appreciate that. Food can be a comfort and that’s something you need while in rehab or living there. One less thing to worry about when you’re stressed out . It means a lot. I can testify you are the best in that category. Love and appreciate y’all."
