| Cydney Y. Caradonna, a third-year Ph.D. candidate in ELP, has been awarded the highly competitive 2025 American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) Graduate Student Fellowship.
Caradonna is one of only 12 fellows selected nationwide for 2025. She will participate in the AAHHE Annual Conference and engage in fellowship programming, including bi-monthly webinars, throughout the academic year.

Educational Leadership & Policy Graduate student Jiashu Lei receives NEA Travelers Award for Teaching Excellence |

|
|
ELP graduate student Jiashu Lei was awarded the National Travelers Award for Teaching Excellence by the National Education Association. Lei is a student in the K-12 Ed.D. program, as well as a dedicated Chinese dual language immersion educator at Syracuse Elementary School.
Only 48 educators nationwide receive this award, which demonstrates exceptional commitment to teaching, leadership in education, and efforts to improve public education.

Invited Keynote with Dr. Jason Taylor |

Dr. Jason Taylor, Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership & Policy and Assistant Dean for Transfer Student Success, was the invited keynote speaker for the USHE Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Conference on September 27.
He presented with Dr. Patrick Lane of WICHE. Their session was titled: “Credit for Prior Learning: Student Outcomes Research and Promising Approaches.”
Dr. Taylor's portion of the presentation was based on this study.

The authors of the new text Thinking Like an Abolitionist to End Sexual Violence in Higher Education, including Professor of Educational Leadership & Policy Dr. Chris Linder, will be on campus to discuss the book and facilitate a dreaming session to examine strategies to more effectively address sexual violence at the U. You do not need to have read the book to participate, but the first 50 people to RSVP for the session will receive a FREE copy of the book prior to the event.
