As April winds down and we say goodbye to Alcohol Awareness Month, itâs a good time to pause and reflect on how we care for ourselvesâespecially when it comes to alcohol use.
Awareness doesnât stop just because the month does. If you choose to drink, keep checking in with yourself. Are you drinking in ways that align with your goals, your health, and your values? Are there times when drinking gets in the way of feeling your bestâmentally, physically, socially, or academically? Whether you're celebrating the end of the quarter, hanging out with friends, or just relaxing, your choices matterâand so does your well-being.
Here are a few quick reminders to carry with you:
- Pace matters. Sip slowly and alternate with water.

Know your limits. You donât need to match anyone elseâs pace or choices.
- Plan ahead. Eat before you drink, and make a plan to get home safely.
- Stay connected. Look out for your friends, and let them look out for you.
