Dear LCA Families,
As we embrace October, marking the completion of the first month of the school year, my colleagues and I are thankful for the active involvement and enthusiasm displayed by parents and students. These contributions have significantly contributed to a robust and successful beginning to the academic year. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire LCA team for their exceptional dedication and hard work, which have played an integral role in shaping what promises to be an exceptional school year.
Lower School Conferences | Parent-Teacher
A parent-teacher conference is a wonderful opportunity to share academic progress and growth based on classroom observations, testing data, portfolios, and assignments. Parents are presented with an opportunity to learn more about their child’s progress during the parent-teacher conferences scheduled for October 17 -19. Parents will receive scheduling options directly from their child’s teacher.
Upper School Conferences | Student-Led
A student-led conference is a preplanned meeting in which students demonstrate responsibility for their academic performance by providing a review of their work for parents. The students lead the conference by presenting work samples and discussing their learning, strengths, weaknesses, and progress toward their goals. Parents will receive scheduling options directly from their child for conferences scheduled for October 24 and 26.
Our desire is to partner with you on this journey. We understand that parenting is undoubtedly one of life's most rewarding and challenging journeys. As parents, we strive to provide our children with the best possible guidance and support as they grow into responsible, compassionate, and purposeful individuals. I encourage you to listen to Pastor Tyler and Amber’s recent podcast, Getting Purposeful with Parenting. In this episode, they discuss the challenges and the triumphs they have experienced as parents. I know you will find it encouraging. I wish I could have listened to this a few decades ago!
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to LCA’s mission. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please contact our school's administrative team.
Wishing you and your family continued blessings and growth on this parenting journey.
Joyfully,
Michelle Buntain Cox
Interim Head of School

House System
Exciting Middle School News!
|
What is the House System? The House System is a way of organizing our Middle School students into smaller groups within Life Christian Academy. The purpose of this system is to create a stronger sense of connection and community, promote healthy competition that is not based on age or grade, and provide additional support and guidance to students throughout their middle school years. This year we welcome the Scarlett Tigers, the White Wolves, the Black Bears, and the Praying Sharks! We are excited about the opportunities for learning, growth, and meaningful relationships in the Middle School.
