We recently asked, “What are your favorite snacks for the beach, lake, or boat?” A few of your responses:
Mix a big bag of peanut butter M&Ms with big bag of Goldfish. Throw in Tupperware container and head out. Kids and adults alike love! —Jessica B.
We use the sweet Hawaiian slider rolls with a spicy Boar’s Head Cajun turkey and smoked gouda, maybe a pickle, but otherwise dry so the bread won’t get soggy. They fit individually in the little sandwich bags, which makes them easy to handle when your hands might not be clean. —Matthew M.
Boiled peanuts. And you can leave a trail if you get lost. —Larry J.
Roberts Chicken Salad out of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, and distributed in Harris Teeter stores. —Becky T.
Fried chicken and cold beer. —Lenora N.
Lance Nabs. —Thomas S.
Wine in a can, BuzzBallz in a can, and salted peanuts. —Lynn H.
Favorite snack for anywhere is Blackjack Beef Jerky. —Tandy L.
Popcorn, Chex Mix, gummy bears for beach sitting. —Martha B.
Pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries cut into bite-sized pieces and put into gallon-sized plastic bags. Easy to pack in the cooler and easy to pass around on the pontoon. —Cindy O.
Salted Virginia peanuts with a cold beer. Yum! —Dianna D.
Is an acceptable answer anything someone else brings? If not, then a rum and tonic with a lime wedge. —Chris C.
