ACADEMICS AND CLASSES
Week one wrap-up checklist:
  • Make sure you've downloaded Zoom, Microsoft Teams, the Navigate app, and any other programs you'll need for classes. Practice with the programs so you know how they work.
  • Add your live class sessions and deadlines to your calendar or sync it with your Navigate app for the rest of the term.
  • Visit the new Remote Resources for Students page at remote.uoregon.edu/students to explore programs, services, and support for remote learning.
Week two preparation checklist:
  • Review your schedule for the week.
  • Visit your instructors' virtual office hours.
  • Schedule time for studying and collaborative work.
  • Create an outline or study guide to prepare for midterms.
UO RESOURCES
  • Make an appointment with an academic advisor to make sure you're on track and plan for future terms.
  • If you have questions or concerns, these offices are available to support you remotely and help answer your questions.
  • The Counseling Center is now offering free telemental health services (videoconferencing) for students located in Oregon and California. In-person services are still available. Phone consultations to navigate finding services in your area and the after-hours support/crisis line are open to all students. Call 541-346-3227 to discuss your options for mental health support.
  • Access software for most classes from home through the Campus Virtual Lab.
  • If you missed the UO's Virtual Town Hall answering questions about remote education, student support, and other COVID-19 related topics last week, the recording is available on YouTube.
IMPORTANT INFO
  • The ASUO Executive Candidate Debate has been reformatted to a written Q&A. The candidates' responses are available for download on the Voter Guide website.
  • Sexual Assault Awareness Month events have transitioned to online delivery and digital means of connecting with each other this April. Check the calendar often for new events.
  • Plan your future study abroad program with confidence—you will incur no financial penalty for starting or completing a GEO study abroad program application. Apply by April 15, 2020 for all summer and fall programs. Most summer programs leave on or after June 14, 2020.
  • Don't forget to respond to the 2020 Census. Even if you are not living at your campus address for the spring term, the U.S. Census Bureau wants all college students to fill it out where you would have been living before COVID-19.
