Happy retirement, Judy!
The FoodWIse team would like to dedicate the FoodWIse update section to Judith Knudsen, our area extension director. Judy has performed a fantastic job for more than four decades. There is much to express to Judy, but there needs to be more space in this section.
Judy has been pivotal in guiding and supporting the FoodWIse program in Brown County, always ensuring that our program maintains its quality and intentional engagement.
She has believed in our work and has encouraged and guided us in every way. With her departure, there are many lessons to learn and great expectations to keep up. As a great cycle comes to an end, the Brown County FoodWIse team is more determined than ever to fulfill our program goals.
Thank you, Judy, for your dedication and great example.

| Brown County FoodWIse had the fortune to collaborate with the PBS Community Engagement Department and Saturday Farmers Market. Nutrition Coordinator Liliana Ramirez offered the StrongBodies program and a food demonstration featuring local produce, all in Spanish.
The event wanted to highlight StrongBodies' access to the video that PBS Wisconsin recorded last year. The StrongBodies video is available in English and will be available in Hmong. StrongBodies will catalyze positive change in people of all ages to live more vital, healthier lives by providing knowledge, inspiration, access to programs, and ongoing support. Check out the video, and stay strong!

Brown County FoodWIse has been a strong partner of Casa ALBA Melanie. This summer, we connected with the youth training program at Casa ALBA Melanie. Meanwhile, the youth engages in different physical activities; FoodWIse engages with caregivers. FoodWIse provided three nutrition lessons for caregivers: Setting the Stage for Healthy Habits, Understanding Labels and Ingredients, and Best Practices for Healthy Living. One of the groups' most significant aha was recognizing whole grains.
This collaboration is significant since engagement is multilevel. Not only are children engaged in well-being activities, but their families are supporting behavioral change to make healthy choice the easy choice.

USDA Launches SNAP Online Purchasing
Online grocery shopping has been a reality for many years. FNS sees this as an opportunity to address the needs of the elderly and disabled, who often cannot easily go out to shop. It will also be beneficial for those that lack consistent access to transportation or live in areas considered to be food deserts.
In Wisconsin there are a significant number of grocery retailers where SNAP users could buy online.
