  • The Chamber Board of Directors nominating committee is taking nominees to serve on the Chamber Board of Directors. Deadline to submit is today by 5 pm!   Return this form to nominate!
  • Great meeting at Kwik Trip HQ yesterday with the owner Don Zietlow (pictured center) and members of the team.  Kwik Trip will expand their 6th store in Owatonna at the former Sterling Drug site.
  • Prayers to the Seykora family (Rocon, Inc.) on the passing of Beverly Seykora.  Beverly has been a staunch supporter of the community and a former member of the Chamber Board of Directors.
  • Know the facts..Chamber is hosting 2 more informational meetings about the high school bond. Click here for October 15 and here for October 29.  No Cost to attend.
  • Coffee & Conversation about the bond with Superintendent Elstad.  Click here for the schedule.
  • Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) to host "Stong Towns" on Friday, October 25th from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm at the Owatonna Public Utilities.  No cost to attend, seating is limited and lunch provided by SMIF.  To register, contact melissal@smifoundation.org
  • Rose Street Construction Traffic Changes started on eastbound lane on September 25, 2019. Current work on Rose is expected to last about another month, click here for detour map.   This work is part of a two-year project expected to be completed by end of summer 2020.

Ambassadors visited with Broken Tee Bar & Grille at Brooktree; 1369 Cherry ST  to welcome them as a new member.  Broken Tee Bar & Grille serves delicious burgers and sandwiches, soft drinks, cocktails, beer, wine and offers weekend dinner specials.

Ambassadors welcomed Ringhofer Construction, Inc.; 1534 S. Cedar Ave as a new member.  Owner Duane Ringhofer specializes in new homes, remodels and light commercial construction. ''We put quality in front of quantity.

Ambassadors welcomed new member State Farm Insurance – Steve Carroll Agency located at 215 SE 22nd ST. Steve and his team offer all lines of property and casualty and Life and Health products as well as Variable Life policies and Variable Annuities.  

2nd Annual Fall Downtown Clean-Up October 10th


Want to make a difference?  Volunteer for the Fall Downtown Clean-up Day on October 10th, from 5 - 7 PM. 
Volunteers will be sweeping, raking and bagging up litter that has accumulated on our streets, sidewalks, alleys and parking lots. We will meet in the green space at 5PM, next to Old Town Bagels. Bring work gloves.  For more information on volunteering or to make a monetary contribution to beautification projects, please call Shirley Schultz, MainStreet Director at the Chamber (507) 451-7970, or email sschultz@owatonna.org.  In case of inclement weather, a rain date of October 17th is scheduled.
