The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show from PBS invites youth quilters and sewists, ages 15 and under, to enter the annual Kidsā Quilt Challenge. Ā
Quilts will be displayed during The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, and participants are invited to attend a public awards presentation at the event on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

First prize: $200 Nancy Zieman Sewing Studio & Quilt Shop gift card.
- Second prize: $100 gift card.

2026-27 Youth Ag Program Grant |
|
|
|
YQCA is now accepting application for its 2026-2027 Youth Ag Program Grant, offering individual wards of up to $5,000.Ā
|
|
|
|
- Total Award Pool: $20,000 with individual awards ranging from $500 to $5,000.
-
Grants support projects that align with YQCAās commitment to food safety, animal well-being, and character development in the livestock industry. Examples include:
- Hands-on youth workshops with YQCA certification
- Livestock judging clinics
- Youth agricultural education events
-
Curriculum development, biosecurity training, and more
|
- Junior breed associations
- State species organizations
-
Local, county, state, or national livestock show organizations
- 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters
|
*Only one application is permitted per chapter, club, or organization per year. Must be a U.S.-based organization.
|
|
| Grant Program Requirements:
|
- All proposed projects should:
- Demonstrate youth education outcomes, such as:
- Training future producers
- Promoting safe food systems
- Maximizing resources in quality assurance
- Align with at least one of the YQCA pillars:
- Food Safety
- Animal Well-Being
- Character Development

Eligible expenses include: educational supplies and curriculum materials, facility rentals, AV equipment, marketing and promotion, participant resources, instructional tools or demonstration equipment, and other approved expenses that directly support youth learning

Ineligible expenses include, but are not limited to: staff salaries and administrative costs; adult travel; fundraising; trophies; infrastructure; professional development not tied to youth programming; and the purchase of livestock, vehicles, or personal equipment.

Green Bay Summer Meals Program |
|
|
|
Learning doesn't stop when school lets out. Neither does the need for good nutrition!
This year's Summer Meals Program started at community sites on June 10, 2026. Meals will began at summer school buildings on June 15, 2026. āļø
All children (not only GBAPS students) 18 years old and younger can receive free summer meals from GBAPS. Families do not have to qualify for free/reduced meals to participate.

For the second year, we are opening nominations for the Wisconsin 4-H Volunteer Awards! Ā These statewide awards seek to honor the outstanding volunteers that support and help grow our programs and impacts! Ā
There are 3 categories:

- Emerging Volunteer of the Year (1-5 years of service)
- Outstanding Club Leader of the YearĀ
- Outstanding Project Leader of the Year
|
|
|
|
Applications are open in 4-H OnlineĀ and include a short essay with some guided questions. Ā The applications are open through August 1, 2026, and we encourage everyone to submit a nomination! Ā A committee will review the applications, and the award recipients will be recognized at Fall Forum in November. Ā

Advertising/Billboard Contest |

The Brown County Fair Association is sponsoring a competition for 4-H Clubs and FFA to display their talents by helping to advertise the Brown County Fair. Ā Each participating club will be given a board to create a sign that will advertise the date of the fair and will be displayed in their community. Ā The signs will be judged and prizes will be awarded. Ā Participating organizations will also be recognized at the fair.Ā
The top 3 winners will receive $100, $75, and $50 respectively.Ā Participating clubs that do not win will also receive a small monetary award.
