The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show from PBS invites youth quilters and sewists, ages 15 and under, to enter the annual Kids’ Quilt Challenge.  

Quilts will be displayed during The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, and participants are invited to attend a public awards presentation at the event on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Entry form and quilt must be received by August 9, 2026.

YQCA is now accepting application for its 2026-2027 Youth Ag Program Grant, offering individual wards of up to $5,000.

National 4-H Council has launched the “4-H Class of 2026 Congrat A Grad Board.”  It's fun to already see some Wisconsin 4-H members being recognized on this platform!

Join by sharing a message of congratulations. Whether you've known them for years or just want to cheer them on, every message helps send them off feeling recognized, supported, and Beyond Ready for what's ahead.

To add your Congrats to the board, click the “Add a post” button to share: congratulatory messages, favorite memories, advice for their future journeys, and/or photos and videos from their 4-H experiences.

It's also just really fun to scroll through the lists to see the diversity and remarkability of 4-H members from around the country.

For the second year, we are opening nominations for the Wisconsin 4-H Volunteer Awards!  These statewide awards seek to honor the outstanding volunteers that support and help grow our programs and impacts!  

There are 3 categories:

Applications are open in 4-H Online and include a short essay with some guided questions.  The applications are open through August 1, 2026, and we encourage everyone to submit a nomination!  A committee will review the applications, and the award recipients will be recognized at Fall Forum in November.  

The Brown County Fair Association is sponsoring a competition for 4-H Clubs and FFA to display their talents by helping to advertise the Brown County Fair.   Each participating club will be given a board to create a sign that will advertise the date of the fair and will be displayed in their community.  The signs will be judged and prizes will be awarded.  Participating organizations will also be recognized at the fair. 

The top 3 winners will receive $100, $75, and $50 respectively.  Participating clubs that do not win will also receive a small monetary award.

Boards must be placed and entry applications must be arrive at the address below by July 15, 2026.

Get your club's creativity flowing!  Club projects for the Brown County Fair are due by July 15, 2026.  Categories include scrapbook, booth, and flower pot.

Submissions: Paper entries should dropped off at or mailed to the fair office. 

Important:  Display hinges should be on the inside so the sides fold inward (see photo to the right).
