Best of all, the winning flavor will be produced as a Cedar Crest Ice Cream Feature Flavor for the month of July! The winning flavor will be available in parlors and ice cream scoops shops that serve Cedar Crest Ice Cream.

One Letter. One State. One New Friend.

🗺️ Can we connect with all 50 states?

The Culloden Clovers 4-H Club in West Virginia is embarking on an exciting nationwide adventure! Our mission is to exchange letters with 4-H clubs across the United States and collect responses from all 50 states. This will be our 2026 Group project!

Our Quest Includes:
📬 Sending introduction letters to 4-H clubs nationwide
📍 Tracking responses on a giant U.S. map
🌎 Learning about communities, agriculture, traditions, and landmarks across America
🤝 Building friendships with fellow 4-H members
📚 Practicing communication, geography, and leadership skills

Help Us Reach All 50 States!
Each letter we receive will:
⭐ Add a new state to their map
⭐ Teach them something new about America
⭐ Bring them one step closer to completing their quest

We'd Love to Learn:
     ● What makes your state unique?
     ● What projects does your club enjoy?
     ● What agriculture or industries are important in your area?
     ● What is your favorite part of 4-H?
You may also include drawings, postcards, and stickers about your local region!

How to Respond to Our Quest:
📧 Please send an email to this 4-H leader (esetliff10@icloud.com) with your information to be added to the recipient list:

Please include:
      ● Your state
      ● Your club name
      ● Club leader name
      ● Mailing address where letters should be sent

📌 A recipient list will be shared with participating clubs so everyone can begin connecting across the country!

Parasite Patrol is a workshop designed to give sheep and goat producers (or project members!) a deeper understanding of what is happening inside their animals and how to respond effectively.

Workshop participants walk through the life cycle of gastrointestinal nematodes, building critical awareness of when animals are most at risk, and explore how anthelmintic resistance develops and why many operations are seeing reduced dewormer effectiveness.

Bring a fresh fecal sample from your sheep or goats (collected within 24 hours, kept cool but not frozen).

The Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival showcases the heart of Wisconsin's rich tradition in sheep production and fiber arts!  Always taking place the weekend after Labor Day, at the Jefferson County Fair Park, the festival promises a delightful blend of educational opportunities, interactive demonstrations, competitions, and over 100 vendors offering exquisite products.

Youth Sweepstakes is a fun way to test and expand your knowledge of sheep and the sheep industry. Youth ages 7-21 are encouraged to participate in any or all of the educational contests and exhibition events with no entry fee. At each event, participants earn points toward monetary prizes!

Sweepstakes contests are held on Sunday, September 13. They include: poster contest, skillathon, photo contest, fleece show, live shows, showmanship, and more.

Youth are invited to participate in the Youth Sweepstakes Contest at World Beef Expo (WBE) in West Allis, WI this month. The contest will be held on Saturday, September 26, and we will have photo, essay, and skillathon contests. This is a great opportunity for 4-H and FFA members involved in livestock production to test their skills and earn prizes. Registration is $5 per contest.

4-H and FFA members are invited to put their livestock evaluation skills to the test at the World Beef Expo Judging Contest! Youth can bring a team or compete individually, making this a great opportunity for both experienced livestock judgers and those looking to gain more contest experience. Blackhawk East will be assisting with this year’s competition.

The contest will include 10 cattle classes, with divisions for junior and senior 4-H/FFA members as well as collegiate contestants. Junior 4-H/FFA contestants will answer questions, while senior 4-H/FFA contestants will give four sets of oral reasons.

The entry fee is $40 per contestant, and the deadline to register is September 24, 2026.
