After Hours Celebrates Milestone Anniversaries!

Join the Chamber along with Business After Hours hosts Costas Candies & Restaurant and Kottke Jewelers on Tuesday, July 23rd starting at 5:30 pm. Plan is to close the 100 block of North Cedar (pending council approval) and will be held in the street between the two businesses. Both host businesses are celebrating 100 years in business!

The drawing is at $350 in chamber dollars! Bring a door prize to promote your business! No registration is needed. See you on North Cedar!

Young Professionals- Volunteer Opportunity!

Would you like to volunteer at the dunk tank for Owatonna Crazy Days? Don’t worry, we’re not asking you to go in the dunk tank! We need people to collect money from those wanting to throw at the dunk tank. This would be on Friday, July 26th from 11am-7pm. If you can help out contact Emily at evolkmer@owatonna.org with times you can help out with.

Free Seminar on Employment Taxes!

The Minnesota Business Tax Education Partnership is holding a seminar in Austin, Minnesota for employers and their representatives who are interested in information on state employment taxes and other employer responsibilities.
Seminar content will include information on:
-Worker status (independent contractor vs employee)

-Employment tax basics (withholding, depositing and reporting)

-Unemployment Insurance (tax rates, wage reporting, benefit account issues)
