Council Organizes for Health Coverage in Atlanta
Last month, Council staff joined Mercy Care Atlanta  and Georgians for a Healthy Future to talk to consumers about what having health coverage would mean to them. For Clara-Isabel Lasprilla (above), health coverage would mean a better quality of life. Other consumers cited access to much-needed dental care, greater choice in clinicians, and peace of mind. The photos and stories were presented to state legislators to press them to close the coverage gap and expand Medicaid in Georgia. Read more about the issues in Georgia and learn how to advocate for change.
