I am delighted that our College is able to support these and other faculty projects. We received 12 proposals with a range of terrific ideas. All submitters received scientific review committee feedback related to their proposal. I want to express my sincere thanks to the CPH Research Committee and to Leslie Frieden in the Mason Office of Research and Integrity for their reviews.
Two upcoming events may be of interest to our research-engaged faculty:
Russell Sage Foundation posted materials from a recent webinar on grant writing, its program funding, and application process. See Tips for Grant Writing Success page. This page includes a link to a presentation on grant-making processes and tips from the 2020 American Sociological Association Conference: “What Investigators Should Know about Grant-seeking from Private Foundations.” Also, review Examples of Successful Letters of Intent and Proposals or a 5-minute video on how to submit LOIs or other applications using our grants management system.
Want to learn more about taking your research solution to market? Mason is hosting a webinar on the Mason NSF I-Corps program on April 18 at 12 – 1 pm.

Mason Faculty and Staff Experience Survey now available through April 23 |
All Mason employees received the Faculty and Staff Experience (FSE) Survey in their email inbox on April 3 and are encouraged to participate. The survey is an opportunity for faculty and staff to communicate engagement needs and co-create an environment that better understands, creates space for, and invests in well-being, inclusion, and belonging practices. We are aiming for a 90% response rate in the College. All responses remain anonymous.
This survey is separate from the COACHE survey that many faculty completed in 2019 and 2022. New for 2024, the Faculty Evaluation of Administrators (FEA) will be added to the FSE Survey and an evaluation of academic chairs and directors has also been included. After completing the FSE, you will advance to the FEA survey. Learn more about the Faculty and Staff Experience Survey.
