Film: “All That Jazz”

When he is not planning for his upcoming stage musical or working on his Hollywood film, choreographer/director Joe Gideon is popping pills and sleeping with an endless line of women. The stress begins to take a toll on the perfectionist. He must decide whether or not his hedonistic lifestyle is worth risking his life. Cost: faculty/staff $6; students $4.

NDSF 2019: Shakespeare in Fremont Park

Featuring the stories of South Bend residents interwoven with Shakespeare’s classic works, Shakespeare in Fremont Park is directed by local favorite Laurisa LeSure and stars talent drawn from local neighborhoods. Free and family-friendly!

Family Day in the Sculpture Park

Celebrate art and nature as a family! There will be art activities, games, stories, nature explorations and Kona Ice for the whole family. The St. Joseph County Public Library will be joining the fun to debut the newest StoryWalk installation featuring the book “The Tin Forest.”

Enrollment Division Closure

Enrollment Division offices will be closed for an all-hands meeting. Division offices include AVP of Undergraduate Enrollment, Financial Aid, Outreach and Engagement Recruitment, Pre-College Programs, Recruitment and Communications, Shared Services, Student Accounts, Student Employment and Undergraduate Admissions.

The Mahaffey Business Library will be closed for remodeling through Aug. 5

The Business Library will continue to provide a range of services including circulation of materials and reference via “Ask A Business Librarian.” The space will be closed and there will be no access to Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Datastream or Morningstar Direct. Research Opportunity


Participate in a Research Study

You are invited to participate in a research study evaluating the use of scent as a reporter for biosensor technology. This study is non-invasive and will take approximately 15 minutes. During this one-time visit, you will be asked to evaluate the scent of test samples. If you are at least 18 years old and would like more information about the study, email Rachel Miller.

Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium

Undergraduate students conducting research this summer in laboratories across campus will showcase their research projects. Two poster sessions will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. This event is open to anyone interested in supporting undergraduate education and learning more about the research programs at Notre Dame.

Tech Upgrades and Service Interruptions

IT Maintenance Affecting Most ND Services on July 27-28

OIT systems engineers will switch the authentication for Notre Dame IT services to Okta. Virtually all IT services will be intermittently unavailable for some or all of the maintenance period. See the news article for the most commonly used services that will be affected.

Are You Ready to Use Okta Two-Step Login?

You will start using Okta, the new two-step login service, on Monday, July 29. If you have not enrolled in Okta, you will be required to do so before you can access any ND service on that date. If you have enrolled, you can verify your preferred devices or see how the new two-step login will work. The OIT recommends setting up the Okta Verify mobile app, and at least one other backup option.

The Sakai team is available to make a presentation in department meetings to talk about Notre Dame’s learning management system. It can be tailored to your departmental needs and can include a simple demonstration of Sakai basics, or ways to use online resources to complement your course objectives. Contact the Sakai team to find out more or to arrange a meeting.
