Slow Mover Art Exhibit & Art Giveaway

Slow Mover Exhibit & Art Giveaway

Through August 19
On exhibit in the Canyon Gallery, Slow Mover, presented by artists Matthew and Lisa Bethancourt of Mouse & the Billionaire is a series of traditional and interactive artworks that invite viewers to reflect on the slow movement of time. Living with artwork over time can be powerful and is very different than seeing something for a few minutes in a public context. For this reason, selected works will be gifted to interested individuals over the course of the exhibition.

Specific works will be gifted during the gallery tours listed below and will be available for pick up on August 20, 2018.

Library Stories
"Please pass on kudos to whoever it is that buys the kids books. My wife compiled a long list of books for children on social justice, and then went to the library catalog to see if she could find a few. She found all of the books. Nice!" -BPL Patron
"On any given Monday, about a dozen people gather around a conference table on the second floor of the Boulder Public Library. There are people from Mexico, Argentina, South Korea, Tibet, Eastern Europe, Nepal and Ethiopia. All have a different story to tell, but all are studying to become U.S. citizens" -Weekly classes at the library prepare Boulderites for citizenship, Boulder Weekly article, July 19, 2018
