British teahouse Perennial Café’s new seasonal menu is filled with autumn favourites, but it’s their Rooibos offering that stands out. Among the maple-spiced cappuccinos and ginger-beer harvest “mules,” the café has introduced a Cardamom Rooibos Latte that brings a gentle, comforting warmth to the cooler months.
Made with steamed milk, Rooibos tea and a touch of cardamom syrup, the drink delivers a soft, balanced flavour. While the cardamom notes are subtle, the author describes the latte as beautifully light and soothing - reminiscent of a London Fog, but with Rooibos’ naturally smooth, earthy profile.
It’s another example of how cafés abroad are embracing Rooibos in creative, seasonal ways, offering customers a caffeine-free option that still feels indulgent and aromatic.
