The Three Minute Thesis competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by graduate students. 3MT challenges research students to communicate the significance of their projects to a general audience in just three minutes. Contestants must condense their research into a brief, engaging presentation for a non-specialist audience, using a single presentation slide. Attend an information session and workshop in GRC 201C (the conference room) on March 18 @ 3pm, March 20 @ 10am, or March 21 @ 12pm. This in-person interactive workshop, led by mental health professionals from the Baylor University Counseling Center, will train you in how to watch for signs/symptoms that someone may be suicidal and how to intervene to get that person to a professional for help. Smith, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer in History, who has authored "A New Force at Sea: George Dewey and the Rise of the American Navy." Dr. Soong-Chan Rah is the Robert Boyd Munger Professor of Evangelism at Fuller University and an ordained pastor. His primary field of study is in theology and ethics with areas of expertise including practical ministry, evangelism, cross-cultural ministry, social ethics, and American evangelical history. He is author or coauthor to over a half dozen award-winning books. Dr. Rah’s discussion with us will center on the intersections of leadership with justice, social ethics, and cultural mutuality.

This project sought to establish the effectiveness of an engaging and interactive online resource for faculty to integrate multigenerational awareness into classroom structure in face-to-face or hybrid environments. The presentation discusses the utilization of creative and engaging integrative learning resources such as generational interviews and opportunities for self-reflection to enable faculty to maximize multigenerational collaboration and communication. This translates into opportunities to address diversity and inclusion while preparing students for fieldwork/capstone and clinical experiences. Register here.

SET: Teaching with Special Collections |
The Baylor Libraries Teaching Fellows Program encourages the use of rare books, archives, and other special collections materials in Baylor graduate and undergraduate curricula. In this session, fellows will present interactive poster discussions on how the use of special collections materials enhances teaching and learning in their courses. Attendees will leave the session with ideas for incorporating special collections into their own courses and prepared to apply for a summer fellowship. Register here.
