From the Ranch House

Ranch House Set to Reopen
We’re pleased to announce the Ranch House is set to reopen, after closing on April 18 due to an employee testing positive for the coronavirus.
The Ranch House will reopen tomorrow April 23, 2021 at 6:00 a.m.
You may again reserve Ranch House activities and rooms on the RVR website, including the gym, yoga room, lap pool, tennis courts, and the downstairs great room.
Fortunately, all employees who were tested have received negative results. As a result, we are able to safely reopen the facility, and continue to protect the health and safety of our employees, our homeowners, and the greater Carbondale community.
We thank you for your understanding and patience during our brief closure.
Irrigation Update
The RVR irrigation system is currently up and running in all areas. Owners on the west side of the Crystal River will need to turn on their water at their curb valve. If you need assistance with this, you should call your landscape maintenance contractor. Owners in the Settlement neighborhood will have water, as usual, managed by RVR Irrigation staff. Owners in the Old Town community have various systems and requirements of shared operation. Please follow this link to see your individual irrigation start up directions.
Tennis Court Preparation
Spring is here and tennis is in the air! The RVR maintenance crew is working hard to get the clay courts ready for the season.
We finally have a shipper and the delivery of clay materials is scheduled for Tuesday April, 27. We will be working daily to get all courts playable, weather permitting, as soon as possible. When courts are ready to play, the booking system will open up for you to make reservations. Please remember that all players must make reservations in the booking system prior to arrival at the Tennis Center. See you on the courts!

Vehicle Parking & Storage in RVR

Over the past several weeks we have been featuring important information regarding  the Vehicle Parking, Storage, Operation and Repair portion of our Master Declaration to educate the community on what vehicles are and are not allowed at RVR.
Management will be identifying any parking instances that need to be addressed to gain compliance, as well as answer any questions RVR residents may have regarding their particular vehicle.
Written notices will be given to identify any possible non-compliance’s. We hope to achieve community wide compliance in April to be ready for an active spring and summer. Starting May 1, Notices of Violation and Fines will be issued.

Animal Frolics Qigong and Meditation
Have you ever tried  to walk like an elephant, fly like a bird, gather fruit like a monkey, or swim like a dragon? It’s fun!
Using visualization, relaxation and the story of the animals we can connect to nature.  We enjoy the ability to let go of frustrations and worry, to allow our energy to flow inside us and to connect with the beauty, harmony and peacefulness of nature.   After all, we are part of nature!
We  feel energized as we prance like a deer.  We feel peaceful as we soar like a crane.
We will end our session with a calming meditation to find the balance of the yin and the yang, the fast and the slow, the hard and the soft.
Please join us on Sunday, May 2 at 4 p.m. on Zoom as we frolic with the animals and connect with our own inner peace.
If you have never done Qigong, try it.  No experience is required.  The animal frolics are usually done standing, but if you want to sit down that works too. The meditation is done seated in a chair or on a cushion. We will want to have a straight spine so please find a seat that is comfortable for you.
Please note, the Zoom link for this workshop is different from the link for the Qigong classes.
