Find out the latest news and information in Graduate Education at GVSU in less than a minute, brought to you by The Graduate School (TGS)
  1. Lakers, put your presentation skills to the test in the Three-Minute Thesis competition! This is a unique opportunity to share your work with the broader community in a fun and exciting format. The winner will receive a cash prize as well as full funding to represent GVSU at the Midwest Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) 3MT Competition in March 2024. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2024, with the competition taking place on February 14. Students can apply on our website.

  2. The Graduate School will be hosting the Winter 2024 Project, Thesis, and Dissertation Workshops in January. There will be two virtual sessions and one in-person session. This workshop is required for all graduate students beginning a thesis in the Winter 2023 semester or enrolled in a 695/795 course for the first time. Students completing a project are welcome to attend. Students can register for a session at our website.

  3. Graduate students and faculty were recognized at the Fall 2023 Graduate School Citations for Academic Excellence. Grand Valley is extremely proud of the accomplishments of these graduate students and faculty members. Check out this article for a complete list of awardees from the event. Congratulations to all! 

  4. PACES events have concluded for the semester. The meditation sessions were popular this semester, the instructor has free meditation videos available on her YouTube channel! The first virtual meditation session of Winter 2024 will be February 12, 2024, register today. Check out all the amazing PACES events happening next semester!

  5. Congratulations to the Fall class of 2023, all of your hard work has paid off! We are proud that you will be a Laker for a Lifetime! For those of you who are still working on your degree, classes start back on January 8, 2024. Enjoy your break and be safe! 
     
  6. Henry Peña is a humble, hardworking student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, graduating in April. He currently serves as the President of the Graduate Student Association. As a Registered Nurse, Henry’s passion for healthcare is connected to his commitment to leadership, education, advocacy work, and serving others. You can check out the full article on our website to learn more about Henry and his accomplishments.
