This summer was a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness in Haiti. Across our camps, 1885 campers and leaders had the opportunity to step away from the challenges of daily life and experience joy, community, and the hope of the Gospel.
We praise God that 436 kids accepted Christ during their time at camp, have a leader to walk alongside them, and were invited back to Discipleship Camp! Each smile, every shared meal, and every moment of worship was a testimony to how God continues to move in the hearts of young people here.
Thank you for praying, giving, and standing with us. Your partnership makes stories like these possible.

In Gambade, Haiti, a teenager named Watson stole Young Life’s music equipment. Some thought he didn’t deserve to go to camp after that—but his leader, Getro, believed

camp was exactly where he needed to be.
To make it possible, leaders created a unique fundraiser to help the campers raise the $4 they are expected to contribute to attend camp. Together, they used solar power to make ice and sold it in their community. Watson worked right alongside them.
At camp, he heard about the One who loves him and decided to follow Christ. When he returned home, his whole town was stunned—the “troubled kid” everyone knew was different.
Today, Watson is continuing to grow in faith through Campaigners (Young Life's Bible study), where young people learn how to walk with Jesus every day. His story is a reminder of why Young Life is in Haiti: to believe in kids others may have given up on and watch Jesus transform their lives.

| In Loving Memory of Vilaire Syrin |
We are deeply saddened to share that Vilaire Syrin, beloved husband of our Regional Admin and friend Maudeline Thomas Syrin, passed

away this last month in the crossfire of gang violence in Haiti. For 20 years, Vilaire faithfully served as the club director of the Genial Club in Port-au-Prince. His life was marked by quiet strength, kindness, and deep devotion to his family and community.. Please join us in lifting Maudeline and their loved ones in prayer during this time of profound grief, asking God’s comfort to surround them and His peace to be near.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1) |
Even in the midst of sorrow and uncertainty, we are reminded that our God is faithful in every season. Though Haiti continues to face violence and hardship, we hold fast to the truth that the Lord never changes. He is the God of both the mountain and the valley.
This summer’s camp testimonies shine as a powerful reminder of the enduring hope and joy the Lord has blessed us with. His love and His promises remain unshakable, yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
