Saturday, May 20
9:00 AM: School of Engineering Ceremony for graduate programs with remarks from Deans Kyongbum Lee and Karen Panetta, and from Tufts alumna Deborah Meshulam, senior vice president of technical operations for Scholar Rock. Gantcher Family Sports and Convocation Center.
1:00 PM: Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Doctoral Hooding Ceremony with remarks from Dean Bárbara Brizuela, Trustee Hugh Roome, Provost and Senior Vice President ad interim Caroline Genco, Dean Heather Nathans, and student speaker Kazuki Motohasi. Cohen Auditorium.
3:00 PM: Baccalaureate Ceremony for all graduating seniors and families with remarks by Isabelle Charles, A23, the 2023 Wendell Phillips Award Winner. Gantcher Family Sports and Convocation Center.
5:00-8:00 pm: Exhibition Closing Receptions at SMFA. SMFA at Tufts proudly presents for the record, the 2023 Senior Thesis Program Exhibition, Heat Rises, the Alternative Capstone Experience exhibition, and the Year End Show, an exhibition featuring the work of all graduating students and award winners. SMFA at Tufts, 230 The Fenway, Boston.
Sunday, May 21
9:00 AM: The 167th All-University Commencement Ceremony
This event will feature remarks by President Monaco, the presentation of degree candidates by school, and the conferral of degrees by the Tufts University Board of Trustees. The ceremony will also recognize those individuals from the faculty and administration who have been granted emeritus status and the University will award honorary degrees to seven distinguished individuals. Amina J. Mohammed, deputy secretary-general of the United Nations and chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, will deliver the Commencement address. On The Green between Ballou and Bendetson Halls.
11:30 AM: School of Engineering Phase II Ceremony with remarks from Deans Kyongbum Lee and Chris Swan, and from Dr. Francesco Svelto, rector of the University of Pavia. On The Green between Ballou and Bendetson Halls.
