University College, Arts NC State Host Helene-Themed High School Play

On Jan. 8, NC State’s Kennedy-McIlWee Studio Theatre played host to a group of high school students from Watauga County to perform SURGE, a play demonstrating the impacts of Hurricane Helene in Watauga County and western North Carolina. Several state dignitaries, including State Superintendent of Public Schools Mo Green and Lieutenant Governor Rachel Hunt, attended the performance.

  • NC State will celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with several events this week.
  • Arts NC State and the Department of Performing Arts and Technology have launched a Crowdfunding campaign that allows interested donors to donate to Arts NC State as a whole or direct their donations to specific core arts programs.
  • The Pack Survivor Support Alliance (PSSA) is a continuing education and engagement program for NC State faculty and staff, with several virtual (via Zoom) events scheduled for the spring semester.
  • The application for the 2025-26 cohort of the NC State College Advising Corps is now open. College advisers serve in rural, under-resourced high schools helping connect students to postsecondary opportunities.
  • Share with your students that the Student Alumni Association Ambassador (SAAA) applications are now open! The application is due Friday, Feb. 14, by 11:59 p.m.
