Educator Update
Hello 4-H Families,
I hope your summer is off to a great start and you've had some time to work on your fair projects! We've had a great time with camp and programs in June, and it's only the beginning. There is still time to sign your k-5th grader up for the July Day Camps. Because we've had such a great response, we've added a second round of Day Camps in August!
This issue of the Clover Courier has information on activities for the whole family to participate in. There is also important information about the Dunn County Fair, including regulations involving lactating dairy cows. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to the extension office or the fair board.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the Dunn County Fair and other activities this month.

Lactating Cows at the Dunn County Fair AnnouncementThe Dunn County Fair Board has decided it is in the best interest of our exhibitors, families, volunteers, and visitors to not allow lactating dairy cows at the 2024 Dunn County Fair. Nonlactating dairy (dry) cows can be exhibited.
The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has issued an order that all lactating dairy cattle are required to receive a negative test for Influenza A virus prior to movement to fairs or exhibitions. This requirement does not apply to lactating beef cattle or nonlactating dairy cattle. Currently, Wisconsin has no confirmed cases of HPAI (H5N1) in dairy cattle, poultry, or humans. Please refer to DATCP’s website for additional information on this order.
