The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee awarded more than 2,100 degrees at its 121st commencement on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. Among the degree recipients were Nisreen Atta, Joshua Sharkey and Kimberly Stuart. The accomplishments of these graduates and others are part of this video.

SAD is most common among people living far north or south of the equator, mainly due to the decreased sunlight during the fall and winter months and the accompanying longer periods of darkness. Many students are undecided or change their major while at UWM. In fact, typically more than 20 percent of a first-year class at UWM is undecided. READ MORE

UWM's Neighborhood Housing Office seeks to educate students about living off-campus while also enhancing community involvement. The Preferred Tenant Program offers a series of educational seminars for student renters, providing students with fundamental resources and knowledge about living off-campus. Completion of the program offers incentives to the preferred tenant from specific landlords and property management companies. READ MORE
