Interview with Tim Howard, H2scan Manager, Engineering
What are your predictions for 2021?
It has to be better than 2020. H2scan has been able to continue production, meet on time deliveries, and continue development activities during the pandemic. Many of the development activities from last year will complete this year, including new GRIDSCAN™ models for in-line real time process and safety applications. Both product lines will include H2scan’s patented autocalibration technology, which should be a game changer in the industry. In addition, we have an automated manufacturing process coming online this year to meet increasing demand for H2scan hydrogen sensors, and provide large scale manufacturing.
What excites you about the future of H2scan and the hydrogen economy?
H2scan is all about hydrogen. I’ve been here for 18 years and have seen a variety of hydrogen applications and the hydrogen economy is the largest yet. The escalation of hydrogen-based energy presents an exciting challenge for H2scan with great benefit to the world at large. I believe H2scan is in a unique position to meet the requirements of the emerging hydrogen economy with innovative products based on our proven technology and years of experience.
