Vaccination and Mask Requirements
Fenwick High School will follow the latest state mandate from Gov. J.B. Pritzker. As such, masks are required by all students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Fenwick for all indoor activities regardless of vaccination status.
As of today, Fenwick will not require that all students, faculty and staff be fully vaccinated.
New Quarantine Requirements
Unvaccinated students, faculty and staff are subject to quarantine requirements. Vaccinated students, faculty and staff are not subject to quarantine requirements. Social distance and quarantine distance are three feet in the classroom and six feet during lunch. The quarantine will last from 10 to 14 days, depending on the strategies from the OPHD. The best way to avoid quarantine is to be vaccinated. Per the Oak Park Department of Public Health, the new quarantine rules (as of 8/18/2021) are as follows:
Non-vaccinated individuals who come into contact with a positive case will need to quarantine for 10-14, depending on the strategies from the OPHD.
Vaccinated individuals will not need to quarantine unless they become symptomatic. If they become symptomatic, they will need a test to verify if they have COVID or not. All students/faculty/staff who are vaccinated and come into close contact with a positive individual will need to mask at all times, including sports and activities, for the full 14 days from the last exposure.

Fenwick continues to encourage vaccinations for all eligible individuals.
The Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine has received formal FDA approval.
As of today, a total of 838 Fenwick students, faculty and staff (64%) have notified the nurses that they have been vaccinated. Remember, the surest way to avoid quarantine requirements in case of close contact is to be vaccinated.
Parents, if your daughter or son has received the COVID-19 vaccine, please upload the student's CDC card or an immunization record from their doctor as soon as possible to the Magnus system or email it to healthoffice@fenwickfriars.com.
